Former Gospel now rebranded love song artist Willy Paul has officially proven to be an East African sensation.
Judging by Mdundo Charts in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, the ‘Mmmh’ hit maker is holding at least 2 positions in charts across the three countries. Willy Paul is also one of Kenya’s most coveted artists managing to close on collaborations with big names such as Reggae queen Alaine, Taarab sensation Nandy, Bongo hit maker Rayvanny, just to mention a few.
Bongo is his signature genre, mostly identified with its origin from Tanzania, he has managed to pull off the style and appeal to a majority. His hype and contemporary style is what most definitely might have pulled in the Ugandan crowd.
He is versatile, creative and talented making each of his songs, fresh and attractive. Whatever he is doing, he should keep doing it. So far, he is one of the very few artists in Kenya whose songs are jammed to widely across Africa; alongside other names like Sauti Sol and Naiboi.
