Born in Accra, but raised in Atlanta, USA, Emmanuel Wayo popularly known as Wayo started out as a rapper. After a long hiatus to realign himself and his sound, he returned in December 2017 with a slow-paced Afro-Pop sound ‘Call Me’, which quickly racked numbers despite little to no promotion. The new single ‘Muscatella’ serves as a new dawn in music experience not only for himself, but for music lovers from his motherland, Ghana. His focus lies in bridging the gap between black American music and African music.

South by Southwest abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By is an annual conglomerate of film, interactive media and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.

Congratulations to Wayo on this heavy gig.
