Michael Joseph Centre To Host Brazilian Film Festival 2018 Starting October 9


The Embassy of Brazil in Kenya is pleased to invite you to this year’s edition of Brazilian Film Festival 2018. The event slated to take place on the 9th, 13th, 16th and 23rd October at Safaricom’s Michael Joseph Centre and Alliance Francaise will see a number of Brazillian films screened.

9 Oct | 18:00 – ARABY (2017)
Andre is a young boy that lives in an industrial neighborhood in Ouro Preto, Brazil, near an old aluminum factory. One day he finds a notebook from one of the factory workers. A film by João Dumans and Affonso Uchoa.

13 Oct | 16:00 – GABRIEL AND THE MOUNTAIN (2017)
Before entering a prestigious American university, Gabriel Buchmann decided to travel the world for one year, his backpack full of dreams. After ten months on the road, he arrived in Kenya determined to discover the African continent. Until he reached the top of Mount Mulanje, Malawi, his final destination. A film by Fellipe Barbosa. Followed by a debate, with the presence of the director.

16 Oct | 18:00 – NISE: THE HEART OF MADNESS (2015)
