Goethe-Institut to host Jazz Concert Featuring Christine Kamau and Slatec


Kenyan Trumpeter Christine Kamau and German organic-improvised techno band Slatec will perform at an exciting Jazz Concert hosted by Goethe-Institut Nairobi, Wednesday 20th February from 7pm!

This concert is a result of the ‘Jazz from Germany Visitors Program’ that saw Christine Kamau join 16 jazz music industry players from 15 countries in touring the jazz scene in Berlin, Munich and Stuggart in July 2018.

Christine Kamau, a Kenyan Trumpeter, Composer, Band Leader and Performing Artist. Her music is a fusion of Jazz, Funk, Soul, Benga and Chakacha. A keen collaborator and campaigner for music as a tool for propagating unity, Ms. Kamau has graced various stages on the African continent.

Slatec, the new project of Munich based Trombonist Roman Sladec, is made up of seven musicians who merge into a kind of super organism that designs creative trap and techno music in real time.
