Some will say it’s Kenya’s best kept secret. Appreciating and naturing alternative music has opened up a whole new world of alternative art in Kenya.
Cafe Ngoma has been the royalty running this paticular Kingdom. So as art would have it, the Cafe Ngoma Awards went down this weeekend at Rosslyn Riviera in Nairobi, Kenya hosted by Monique and Richard Bett.
Promises of performances from Kenya’s most soulful artists like L’Afrique, Meryl Paige, Acouslyk, and Esba, got the venue thronging with all glammed and glitzzed guests.
It was a night of pure bliss as more enthraling musicians were discovered and those who’ve been there for a while gave a sweet dosage of their best pieces.
