August Alsina's management denies his involvement in Octopizzo's ''Could Be Us''

The LDPC Album has been the topic on every lip of any Kenyan music lover since its launch. The album by one of the top rappers in Kenya and Kibera’s finest Octopizzo has not only topped charts but has also been the top album on iTunes competing with international stars like Dr.Dre something that lead to doubts over the album purchasing record raising claims that the rapper Octopizzo was buying his own album in bulk in order to maintain its top spot.

A superb jam featuring American RnB star August Alsina dubbed “Could be Us” which is one of the songs in the released album, actually one of my favorite jams in the LDPC album which was highly anticipated seeing its exclusive release on MTV Base Africa has furthered the controversy over LPDC album being that the so mention August Alsina who is said to be featured in the the song saw his management deny it.

This was posted on Alsina’s official twitter account by his management stating that “The song ‘Could Be Us’ by @OCTOPIZZO does not feature @AugustAlsina”. This tweet may not be saying the entire truth being that a voice similar to that of Alsina is heard in the song. Octopizzo who told Cate Mukei of the Nairobian in an interview that “ I have not met August Alsina yet. My people sent him my music and he loved it. He then recorded the chorus and sent it to me”. Who could be saying the truth between Octopizzo and Alsina’s Management.
