Yule Mbaya by Otile Brown | Soulful Kunidzia Singer Unveils First Visuals As An Indie Artist

Otile Brown is a Kenyan urban contemporary musician, Song Writer, Guitarist and an Actor. Arguably the best of the new music acts in Kenya at the moment and this is mainly owed to his consistency and unique singing style which he calls Kunidzia, what the Tanzanians call Bongo.

Born and raised in the coastal city of Mombasa, Otile Brown is the last born in a family of five-three brothers and one sister. He discovered his talent and a tender age of 12 but started singing and writing music a year later at age 13. After his short musical career in Mombasa, Otile Brown moved to Nairobi in 2012 in search of greener pastures.

It was by chance that he met with top comedian and radio personality Jalang’o while waiting for Willy.M.Tuva in a lobby, and he decided to give him his CD, which Jalang’o loved and advised him to stick to singing.

He also surprisingly sponsored his first song and gave him a choice to work with either Wyre or Doctor Eddie. He preferred Dr.Eddie (A renowned Kenyan music producer) who was really impressed by his skills and went ahead to sign him as the first artiste of the label Dreamland Music Entertainment.

Just a few days after his departure from his former label, Otile Brown teams up with the Kenyan talented producer Ihaji for “Yule Mbaya”.

Otile Brown has created a niche for himself, melting people’s hearts with love songs and “Yule Mbaya” is no different.
