Nyako by Makadem x Behr | Indian Producer Daisho Remixes Kenyan Benga Maestro’s Single

Good music is one of the things that have no definition, equate it to love… I mean who knows what good music sounds like for sure but one thing for sure is that you can always tell when you hear good music.

A United Kingdom, London based label by the name On The Corner Records, has unveiled a super lit single as part of their series of releases of good music.

Preceding the excellent remix project of Uganda’s Mugwisa International Xylophone Group which they dropped last year, On The Corner Records have a brand new release that will get you swept off your feet.

Teaming up Kenya’s music powerhouse, the phantom and Benga music maestro, Makadem and South African producer Behr to make a new mash-up dubbed “Nyako”.

Part of an album, titled “Nyako” a word drawn from the local dialect of Luo meaning Girl or Lady is available for per-order on Bandcamp to get 1 track now (streaming via the free Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it’s released.

Indian producer Daisho decided to remix the track, brilliantly playing remixes from himself, Africaine 808 and Modified Man on the original, lifting up the traditional instrument – Nyatiti played by Makadem in the original and lyrics creating magical results.

Enjoy the amazing track below, cheers.
