The listening party to this fire album went down barely two weeks ago and fans’ craze for its release was up through the roof and finally it’s here.
Tanzania singer and performing artist Vanessa Mdee has unveiled her debut album in time jut as promised, titled ‘Money Monday’ a phrase that is no coincidence taking note her other alias Vee Money and Cash Madam which seems to have been the major influence behind the album’s title.
A pack of 17 tracks, ‘Money Monday’ features a wide range of collabos, stretching from West Africa with one half of P-Square, Peter Okoye aka Mr.P on ‘Kisela’, Reekardo Banks on my favorite single on the album ‘Bambino’, from the Jamica Konshens lends his voice on ‘Bomb’ and even Mohombi who did grace the listening party featured on ‘Kwangu Njo’.
It’s evident the amount of time and investment that Vee Money has put into hti masterpiece once again proving ‘Money Monday’ was the perfect title for the album. Did I mention from down South, rappers K.O and Casper Nyovest also have featured on this album? Bongo star’s Joh Makini and Gnako incorporated that home feel as well while Radio and Weasel’s dancehall style summed up the best tracks on this album.
With most of the tracks already partnered up with visuals, the album is perfect step for a new year that promises to be even greater than last year for the Cash Madam. Produced by Tanzanian singer and producer, one half on Navy Kenzo- Nahreel, Ekelly, S2Keez, Tahpha, Bob Manack, Breezy, Elarkis Music and Lufah
