Its official, the Headline Artistes for the 2016 Jamhuri Reggae Festival will be Jamaica’s biggest dancehall Reggae artiste Clifton Bailey III known by the stage name Capleton aka “The Prophet’ or King Shango alongside Ventrice Morgan popularly known as Queen Ifrica who doubles up as a disc jockey.
The Jamhuri festival set for December 11that the Safaricom stadium Kasarani will capture the ever inspiring message of one love, Peace, Hope, Happiness and Togetherness, transcending physical borders, religion, race, gender and ideology.
One of Jamaica’s brilliant upcoming artistes Sustane, Kenya’s very own Gravitti band and dancehall and reggae maestro Wyre the love child will also grace the live performance among other local artistes. The festival will be an annual event featuring different leading reggae artists.
The Jamaican acts are expected to land in Kenya on Tuesday 6th December ahead of the weekend concert. A press conference with Capleton, Queen Ifrica, Sustane, Wyre, Gravitti band and the event organisers; Head Cornerstone entertainment will be held on Wednesday 7th December 2016.
