Born Caleb Okoth 21 years ago Kaleb Singa as he is popularly known is a performer, song writer and an afro pop dancehall artist based in the capital Nairobi Kenya.
Kaleb was raised at ABC kenya children’s aid- an orphanage home in Mathare slums alongside celebrated gospel artist Bahati and attended St.Teresa’s Boys Secondary School.
He started music as a minor performing simple art in church and while at school, but his professional musical debut starts with his first single “Girls love Me”.
“I grew up listening to Reggae and Dancehall icons Mighty King Kong ,Chaka Demus, Bennieman and South Africa’s the late Lucky Dube” He states
Having curtain raised in major concerts like blankets and wines, matter heart run each and every year, the journey has been long and he believes its his time.
Coming off his upcoming album whose details he is yet to reveal- “Girls Love Me” is a feel good dance-hall banger.
“For there to be a successful party there must be women. The song generally appreciates the women, their beauty and the efforts they have made towards the dance and music industry” Kaleb explains
With five tracks on his upcoming album amongst his new debut tune ”Girls Love Me” and is looking forward to work with Chess, “Teren Teren” singer Vivian, Chocolate City signee Qritical, the love child Wyre as well as the new dancehall queen Phieso.
As a secular artist he is ready to take Kenyan dance-hall to the world as there are collaborations as well as solo projects coming up with major African dance-hall acts.
