Starting off as a musician in Kenya is one of the toughest thing ever, singing stars usually find the road to rising from the ashes and stabling their musical career bumpy and rough as hell but the tough, patient and persistent ones always make it at the end of the day.
Being a great singer is not everything, talent is not all it takes to say I made it as an artist, look at Bahati, Sauti Sol, Mosbee or Makadem…they work beyond their voices to deliver a perfect successful work in the music industry and I was lucky to meet one of this lucky growing artists in the country by the name JayOne Jina Moja.
JayOne who is an all-round artiste good enough to have the ability of doing different musical genres, from Hip-hop, Dancehall, Urban hip-hop, House Music, Kwaito-Afro beats and many more.
The T.R.E.S Records signee who also doubles up as Newly made up King; Rapper Mosbee’s assistant seems to be on a great path to greatness as he works and strives to reach greater heights under the guidance and mentorship of producer Eduwan same guy who produced “Chainz” by Mosbee.
With a his Hip-hop track dubbed “Nani Alisema” (Who Said?) that features another Kenyan rapper Edudante which talks about hard work and persistence, in his own words JayOne asks “Nani alisema huwezi penya life?” (Who said you cannot make it in life).
“I was inspired to write this song to inspire new artists who are emerging in the industry not to accept being underrated or marginalized by moguls who want monopoly control of the industry, it also features my friend Edudante whom we met back in 2009 and has a great passion for good music” JayOne added.
JayOne who says his loyalty in with Eduwan and he is looking forward to work with him always, he also has an amazing line up of projects coming your way including a new jam featuring Rapper Mosbee but while we wait for time to come why not watch “Nani Alisema” below and drop us your thoughts.
